Since 1993 – The original ‘frame with the big holes’

In 1993 the trajectory of the exhibit building world was changed forever with the invention of the original frame system with big holes, by Paul Ameloot of DeltaMatrix – a subsidiary of the DeltaLight group, a well-known Belgian brand in the international lighting & design industry. Until this point system built stands were primarily constructed with stick built aluminium systems, which required the frame’s assembly onsite, the trapping of the graphic panel in the frame grooves which exposed large strips of aluminium. The ‘frame with big holes’ eliminated this assembly step, allowed easier installation of graphics and made the supporting system vitually invisible eliminating distractions to the exhibitor’s message.

Stefaan Decroos & Edwin Van der Vennet, the current CEO’s, acquired the system In 2004 & founded beMatrix, with the HQ in Roeselare (BE). They built it to a strong & reliable partner in the modular stand building industry by following this same plan; to innovate and bring new technology to exhibit building, reinventing the way exhibitors communicate their message and exhibit builders ply their trade.

Launched on the market in 1993 with a 55 mm frame and later, in 2012, perfected through the invention of the patented 62 mm frame, which became the ultimate tool for the modern stand builder. In the past years beMatrix added curves, pivot doors, SEG graphics, a comprehensive 360 building solution; LED walls and so much more!

The beMatrix frame system offers the best of both worlds: the endless possibilities of customisation, combined with the benefits of a modular, reusable system. The beMatrix frame system is mounted far more quickly than a traditional profile system. It is also extremely lightweight and can be built without special tools.

The big holes mean you can connect the frames to each other very easily and in every direction. The 62 mm matrix delivers the ultimate in modularity, with an endless number of configuration possibilities. Panels, fabric graphics or light walls are flush, virtually full bleed and not sandwiched in between the structural elements. This makes the system virtually invisible. The result is a beautifully sleek look that eliminates any distraction from the message the exhibitor is communicating.
